Here at Print Express we love pretty much all forms of graphic and web design – and for good reason: we print a huge amount of business cards, flyers, booklets and other interesting designs each year, and so we’ve built up an appreciation for great art. One thing that I particularly love are postcards. I find postcards fascinating because they’re so unconstrained – the only limitation is that they fit the same rectangular dimensions (and even then, that’s not always the case). When you think of postcards, you usually think of sending them to family and friends when you’re on holiday, but the truth is there are lots more reasons for them to exist. They can be used to promote events, like flyers, or they can be used as a replacement for a greeting card. They can replace wedding invitations and save-the-date cards, and they can even be framed and hung up in a collection on walls. Sometimes postcards can be designed simply for the sake of art.
I wanted to bring together a collection of some of my favourite recent postcard designs. There aren’t any underlying themes that tie them together because I wanted to showcase just how different and varied each can be, whether they’re describing a place, an event or simply a piece of art. Each of these postcards are beautifully and creatively designed, and I hope that this roundup gives you a burst of inspiration.
So there you have it – our collection of creative, surprising and fascinating postcard designs. Hopefully you’ve found these postcards to be an interesting source of inspiration, and if you’ve created any artwork that you’d like to show off, we’d love to hear about it in the comments below.
