As I’ve said before on this design blog, our main love lies with print (which makes sense – we are a printing company after all) – and one thing that I wanted to talk about today is printed packaging inspiration. Of all the ranges of graphic and print design, product packaging design is possibly the most ubiquitous. You see it nearly ever day (if not every single day), and it’s often something that you notice without realising it because it’s so commonplace. Any time you browse the aisles of your local supermarket, look in a shop window or even open one of your kitchen cupboards at home, you’ll be looking at product packaging design.
A huge amount of thought and care goes into packaging design. The packaging itself can both influence sales (by standing out on shelves and encouraging browsers to pick it up and buy it), and it can affect the tone and personality of the product itself. Today, I wanted to showcase some truly stunning product packaging inspiration. Many of these are for real products that are out there on store shelves and in kitchen cupboards the world over, while others are concepts that have been done for practice or for an art project. In either case, I think these are all beautiful, colourful and fresh examples of great packaging design and I hope that they give you the inspiration you’re looking for. As always, if you know of any product packaging that deserves a special mention, I’d love to hear about it in the comments.
I hope you’ve found this collection of stylish packaging design to be a useful source of inspiration. If you’ve created any product packaging that you’d like to show off and thinks would suit this roundup, let me know about it in the comments below!
