We’ve got a lot of love for logo designs here at Print Express, and we’ve seen more than our fair share of them, from running our Rejected Logo Competition to printing leaflets, flyers and other business stationery. One thing that I’ve always been fascinated by is the sheer variety of logos out there. There are so many different techniques and styles that you can use that it’d be entirely possible to give the same brief to 100 different designers and discover 100 completely unique logo designs.
Today, I wanted to talk about 3D logos – that is, logos that make use of shadows, shading and gradients to create the element of depth. Sometimes this technique can be subtle and can add a slight amount of elevation and interest to a logo design, but often it’s used to create big, bold and impactful brand identities. I’ve brought together my favourite recent examples of logos that all make an incredible use of 3D elements to either add a little touch of depth to the design, or to make them really stand out. As you’ll see, 3D logos aren’t for ever brand, and it’s usually best to not go overboard with it, but when done well they can create really visually stunning designs that are full of personality. I hope you find this showcase peaks your interest and gets you excited about trying your hand at your own 3D logo.
Hopefully you’ve found this showcase of creative 3D logos to be a useful source of inspiration. As always, if you’ve designed a 3D logo that you’d like to share (or know of any others that would be a good fit for this post), I’d love to hear from you – just leave a comment below!
